Open science and qualitative research: Making qualitative data reusable In-Person / Online
This workshop aims to help you assess and enhance the reusability of qualitative data. It will provide you with guidance and techniques to tackle the challenges associated with sharing qualitative data with others. This includes drafting informed consent forms that permit reuse, determining the appropriate access levels for data, and selecting file formats that support reuse. You’ll also learn to apply de-identification techniques that strike a balance between reusability and data loss.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll be familiar with practical tools and examples, and capable of discussing and evaluating the intricacies of open science practices in qualitative research
Main Topics:
- The benefits of making qualitative data reusable and the most common challenges associated with this
- The importance of getting informed consent
- Tips and tools for planning your project so that the data collected can be organized in a way that facilitates reuse
- Techniques for de-identifying personal data
- Options for archiving your data
- Guidance on metadata, file formats, and authentication of access.
Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your academic connections and streamline your research attribution. We look forward to seeing you there!
