Writing Reproducible Research Articles In-Person
This workshop will take you from writing a simple plain text file to writing an entire research article in a fully reproducible manner. In the first day of the workshop, you will learn how to create your first reproducible document in the quarto format, report results of your analysis directly in the document, manage references with no hustle, and use templates to format your articles in an instant. In the second day of the workshop, you will learn how to collaborate with others on your reproducible document.
By the end of the workshop, you will have created your first reproducible document, familiarized yourself with all the fantastic advantages of writing research papers in a fully reproducible manner, and have a great starting point to make all of your scientific writing fully reproducible.
Training format
During this workshop, you will alternate between these activities:
1. type and code along with the instructor;
2. practice what you learned by yourself and/or in pairs.
You will receive instructions on setting up your computer for the workshop approximately a week before the start date.
Audience
This workshop is aimed at researchers who want to write fully reproducible research articles involving the reporting of data analysis results. You have basic knowledge of data analysis with R (e.g., making simple plots, estimating simple analysis models).
